To Awaken

A short poem about acceptance and Awakening

Don't ignore your heartache, allow the pain to sink into your soul. Now 
carry the burden across the universe, let the stars gossip, but 
only listen to the moon. Not of the rose pedals that never bloomed, 
or the desire to swallow poison. But of something even more. 
Now grow stronger, and closer, so close that the birds sing your song. 
Open your eyes and take a deep breath. 
Accept all that was, is nothing more. Dance upon the wind. 
Cuddle the understanding. Smile and bask in the reverence. 
For you are so much better 
than you were before.
