Phantom Mask Of MaddnessA Poem by ChrisThis poem is about Phantoms life in the movie Phantom Of the Opera. The world so cruel and Unforgiving Forced me to put this Mask upon my Face As a Child I was Caged They Laughed and pointed Calling me the Devils child My Face was Scared my only Solace was in my Mind For no one can judge my Mind But this World so cruel and Unforgiving Forced this mask of madness upon my Face As a Boy I snapped and Killed my Keeper escaping ever deeper into the depths of the Opera House In the later Hours of the night I Began to Write my Music of the Night . My voice Filled with Love and Sorrow Sang out loudly Ringing threw the Night as this Mask of Madness Gave me Sight. As a man My Wings took Flight as i Continued to Write my Music of The Night Then i heard her sing one night as i wandered threw the Depths of the Opera House Her Voice Rang Loudly threw my Ears as Clear as Crystal Water Flowing threw the Years . That Night i Thought it was time she met her Angel of Music she has no reason to Fear. I waited and waited for the Perfect time When I knew She Would be mine But this World so Cruel and Unforgiving Forced me to put this Mask upon my Face But No One Never knew this Mask of Madness Would Consume Me No one Never Knew That Without you My Music of the Night would never Take Flight No One had the Right to Judge Me I am the Phantom and That is why i Wear This My Mask of Madness... © 2012 Chris |
