Holes

Holes

A Poem by Angela Mulley

While in the garden,

I look to the sky;

flowers,

trees

still

as clouds go by.

The house is also in the garden;

and the street too.

Birds,

flitting across air,

singing

merry songs, far and wide

between the gap in the

wooden fence,

I realise

I've been here some time.
