Tipping Time

Tipping Time

A Poem by Angela Mulley

Autumn leaves fell from trees
as the north wind blew,
to a place -- previously
only grass and flowers knew.

Then land began to freeze
--later came the snow,
which turned to a muddy pool
when ice began to thaw.

Spring revealed an April grey
above hills and flowers blue,
a colour--previously
only clear, cold skies knew.
