Blinking in the Snow

Blinking in the Snow

A Poem by Angela Mulley

What of the grass?
What of it's green?
What of the leaves
that fell from their trees?
What of the landscape?
What of the road?
What of the house?
You could see it before.
Before the snow came,
now it's caught on the door.
But when spring arrives,
what of the snow?

Its a little suprising that this piece has not been commented up on yet...a beautiful interpretation of changes...the intial half of the write had me guessing about where is the writer heading..however the last 5 lines sum it up beautifully..and not only changes...its manages to throw light on the aftermath of changes..as if trying to question the existance of past...
its just my opinion on this write and could well be far off from what the writer wants to convey...but the beauty of the piece is exquisite...and there is no taking away that..

The title really caught my eye! The idea behind this was great, and it was executed simply, and yet beautifully. Great job.
