DesireA Poem by Angela MulleyA poem I wrote ages ago.Desire nailed into the thick air, Lustrous eyes, delicately rounded. She watched her straw become distorted in the glass, Just as if it would. A heart hungry is a ravenous beast, That calls to be fed, and yet, not misunderstood. Music alleviates silence, Another pair of eyes she sees, As they await the modulation of spring. Hearts beat, distance and length intertwine, At precisely the right moment.
