The only differenceA Poem by Awkward Bird
The only difference between our secrets is
whether we allow them to evolve into tales of heroism or fear. We were in love, and it had been the right time. Everyone says you know the right time. I bought you the ring.
I was ready. I thought I was ready. I could have given you the ring, we could have gotten married. We could have had a tale of heroism. But instead, I sent it in an envelope. An envelope sent to an unknown address. It's a tale of fear. © 2010 Awkward BirdAuthor's Note
