falling back into you

falling back into you

A Poem by christina

you said a few words and flashed me that smile

and just like that

i was sunshine in the palm of your hand

aching to warm your skin with mine

falling back into place with you

because even though i am not yours to hold anymore

the curves of me miss the edges of you

it’s in the way our pieces fit together

like they were meant to be there

and the problem is that i have a nothing to lose attitude

a reckless wild desire for things that I know are bad

but they taste like freedom and feel like joy

so we fall back into the familiarity of you and me

and I wonder, would it be so bad to do the wrong thing?
