A Poem by christina

how do you breathe

when grief wraps its icy fingers around your throat

and steals the breath from your lungs

how do you think

when the thoughts collide and you are out of your mind

how do you live

when the heart that should beat

has been buried alongside a dead boy in a grave that was dug too early

Gee
All death sad but the death of a child beyond that. How any parent can deal with their child's passing, well, doesn't bear thinking about.
Some fine lines in this piece

This hits home since I've lost someone recently. Well, there's been a few losses this past yr.

Grief can cripple. Grief can choke.

Great line

Beautifully dark...

I think the short line then the long line serves very well for this poem. Guilt and grief can do almost anything to us, whether good or bad...

And sometimes you might feel like you want to wither and die because of it.

Overall, quite good.
