FreedomA Poem by Christina DawsonToday I had discussion in school, and this is what came to mind. I wrote what I felt, so read with that in mind.Freedom by Christina Dawson Freedom of speech. Bullshit. More like freedom to enslavery. It is no longer about who is white and who is black. It is about who wants to be free from the lies. It is about realizing what lies are prescribed into your mind, before it is too late. We are the people, that is what they preach. However, what do we know, we are just the people. From the day we come out the womb, no matter the color of your skin, We are installed with the mindset that we are only free when we follow the rules. Rules that, those before us set forth. Seriously. Who the hell are they to tell me how to be free. Who the hell are you to enforce those rules onto me. Keep quiet, that is what they want. As long as we mind our business, Do what we are told we are supposed to do, everything will okay. But why? Why can not I wonder who I am really supposed to be?, Where did I, my family, come from? Why can not I question those who tell me how to be live. Do this, do that, This will lead to happiness. But how do they know? Wait. I thought I supposed to be free. Land of the free, and home of the brave. This is some contradictory s**t is it not. Either your free and docile, or brave and persecuted. That is why it does not matter if you are black or white because when it comes to power, Everyone can become a victim. Lies. We believe them, we are happy. We question the lies, we die. That simply. We either choose to accept this world of lies we live in, Or take the initiative and think for ourselves. The choice is ours. © 2016 Christina Dawson |
