Lucidity of the Night

 

The mist was playing tricks on my eyes

as it danced through the gossiping trees

Her form though hazy

was making its way towards me in a fevered pace

But how could this be?

When the miles separate two dreaming souls

bound by the night

bound by fate

but

connected by a universal tether.

 

Dew dripped from the trees

as the waves of mist collected on the leaves

The air was thick with lust

and I could feel the electricity flowing from his body

down into the ground

My body quivered with every step I took closer to him.

 

I know my dreams well

and tonight under the pale blue moon

she gives me an awakening to her spirit

and I take her into me like the essence of life

the breath of awaited sins

I am her torment of heart & mind 

as she slowly cuts loose the garments of my soul

to bare the wicked fruit

awaiting her salvation.

 

Haven't I been here before?

In this lucid place, in this lucid state

As my body collided into his I could feel our flesh become one

My body felt whole as I could feel him inside me

melting my frozen heart one thrust at a time

I could hear the chains clamor

as he broke through the gates of the deepest depths of my mind

Accessing my greatest fears

and my wildest fantasies

I knew it wouldn't be long before he would come across

the other fantasies I had with him in dreams past.

 

Lucidity of the night,

Tell us this is real

and our love is alive outside of you

Taking us into the places no one is allowed to feel

Coursing through our hearts

heating us into one burning ember

Able to withstand the cold frozen lands

we will trek together

when the sun falls from the sky

We will prevail

through our love

and

the will to survive together as one.

Such a class work of art both of you! fantastic, this collaboration... it's like a lucid dream, both have, to combine into one, floating ambience. I enjoyed the deep details, and imagery in this one, well done both of you! ^^ There is a real beautiful romance in this piece, very rich, and amazingly conveyed. this is very beautiful and creative, I really enjoyed the narration of the scenes and the way the poem makes us understand the feeling of both lovers as they try to laid their emotions though these amazing words.
