The Art of Love

The Art of Love

A Poem by Chris Micha
"

The evolution of love in artistic form and how it impacts who we are.

"

Art of Love

It is,

Universally spread,

sewing together the seams of all the dimensions.

Chiseled in stone,

at the bottom of the sea on the Island of Atlantis.

Drawn upon,

the walls of the deepest New Mexico caverns.

Painstakingly written,

by the quill from the mind of Shakespeare.

 Comes to life,

through the eyes of Sandro Botticelli in the Rise of Venus.

and

It paints,

my heart with the most gorgeous image ever allowed,

to grace the pages of my story book.

It hurts & heals

It's everything I feel

Everything I need

Everything I see

It's miles

I

Will travel

Time

I will endure to be away

For the girl who is dancing with my soul

to a universal choir

locked in a tango brimming of fire

inside my world

on a world

inside a universe

of love.

This makes me think of those stacking Russian dolls, Matryoshka, each one smaller than the one that contained it, nested inside each oterh, until you get to the last doll, revealing the treasure at the end. That was how I felt reading this, like I was opening the verses up, until the last one appeared.
Well done.

II love how you don't just post your poems. but you take the time to put pictures in and find the write colour and font to make your poems even more effective. Amazing writing, I love your portrayal of love and the reflection of how love has been portrayed over time.

History has so much to answer to our unanswered questions. Although no one can give an equation for love, we certainly can look up to the artistic representations of the past for reference. So beautiful and full of wisdom. Thank you for sharing this yet another reference for love for everyone, sir. :)

About
To sum me up is pretty easy. I love writing because it's therapy for my wayward soul. Although, I am by no means any good at it, I still put myself out there. I use to write when I was younger but gav.. more..
