HourglassA Poem by Chris MichaI will miss you, always.Hourglass
I sat on your porch looking out at your garden as dawn approached Each flower carried with it a memory...a tear...a smile I'm sorry I wasn't here to hold your hand as you left All I ever wanted was to be a star in your eyes To shine bright for you and over you Now you are shining over me Watching me And I Will Carry on As you're watching over me I will shine bright for you down here We can be stars together in our linked worlds We will hold hands through our soul's connections We planted a flower long long ago in each other's hearts You sit on Heaven's porch watching your garden as dawn approaches.
