Long View

Long View

A Poem by Chris Micha
"

There's a part of me in Longview.

"

~ Long View ~

It’s a long view from the seclusion of a solitary soul

One that holds out the seeker of her treasured enigmas

And yet she waits…

For the one whom is willing to go to the depths of her life

Holding his breath until the final jewel is pulled from the extremity of her soul

Guarding each single-one with an iron-clad locket of true uniqueness

Never willing to reveal the painstaking secrets it took to solve the mystery

 ~

It’s a long view from where I stand

I can only see so far with these eyes I was given, but I still stare in your direction

And yet I wait…

For the day when your heart says it’s okay for me to try and open it

And sometimes I can feel it tugging at me in its confusion

Not sure if I’m the one who should safe guard it but not sure if he is the one either

But what it doesn’t know is what depths I’m willing to go

And how long I’m willing to hold my breath from now…until?

I can see you slowly turning your eyes in my direction each passing day

So…

Lock onto me and let’s take a journey to the corners of our universes

As I explore you and you explore me

And we’ll take the long view around.

Enchanting. It captivates the emotions that haunt the human psych so well. We see someone and think that weknow them, but here's the deal:we would never know them until they trust us completely. People are puzzles that no one can solve. They store their secrets in places unknown and unknowable. They are like layers of a big fat golden onion: so that when you peel away one layer, the other one peeks out and says, "bet you didn't see me coming, did you?" Loved the metaphors in the poem!!!=))

This was a great piece... I really related to it, in the sense that I am the confused and lost person. It was a sweet but simple romantic piece. Well done.

this is beautiful...that heart that longs to be opened but is too afraid to trust her instincts that this is the right person to do it...and he must be patient, till she is ready to be opened.

nicely penned.

Thank you dear friend :)
This was such a romantic read! There are many people who feel lonely and search for someone, not knowing that a person who loves them is already there. And many a times, people would love to try and make a move when they see that the person they love may be lonely and looking for someone, but hesitate because there are too many factors of doubt. We can only hope that somehow we notice each other and see the love that is truly there, but that seems to be so far away, and the time progress too slow. But eventually, there are so many things that brings people together, and there are so many things to find in each other and to be seen in a joined perspective. Very nice, this was truly a masterpiece, as it always is with you :-)

About
To sum me up is pretty easy. I love writing because it's therapy for my wayward soul. Although, I am by no means any good at it, I still put myself out there. I use to write when I was younger but gav.. more..
