Long ViewA Poem by Chris MichaThere's a part of me in Longview.
~ Long View ~
It’s a long view from the seclusion of a solitary soul
One that holds out the seeker of her treasured enigmas
And yet she waits…
For the one whom is willing to go to the depths of her life
Holding his breath until the final jewel is pulled from the extremity of her soul
Guarding each single-one with an iron-clad locket of true uniqueness
Never willing to reveal the painstaking secrets it took to solve the mystery
~
It’s a long view from where I stand
I can only see so far with these eyes I was given, but I still stare in your direction
And yet I wait…
For the day when your heart says it’s okay for me to try and open it
And sometimes I can feel it tugging at me in its confusion
Not sure if I’m the one who should safe guard it but not sure if he is the one either
But what it doesn’t know is what depths I’m willing to go
And how long I’m willing to hold my breath from now…until?
I can see you slowly turning your eyes in my direction each passing day
So…
Lock onto me and let’s take a journey to the corners of our universes
As I explore you and you explore me
And we’ll take the long view around.
~

Although, I am by no means any good at it, I still put myself out there. I use to write when I was younger but gav.. more..Writing
