firm strong hands caressing your fears

releasing them back into non-existence

 

imagine...

your body below the canopy of mine

researching the contours of your soul

connecting it back to the Heavens

 

imagine...

your hands held above the top of your head

reaching for the infinite light of love

releasing it into the darkness of your universe

 

imagine...

wrapping me inside your womb of time

weaving new pathways into the vital life line of your being

as I enter the cascading walls of your heart

 

imagine...

us existing in the confines of space

as we close the gap of distance in between

the separation of you & me

I love how it made me feel like I'm moving in a slow motion and how it made me read slowly like I'm the one who is saying this to someone. Each time the word "Imagine" is written on the poem, I feel like the intense emotion in every stanza is getting stronger, inviting me to imagine the scene, the story behind the lines. If I want to be enveloped in a world of passion and romance, I read Christian Gallagher's poems.
