All I want is to kiss your lips,

as the sun breaks through last night's grip,

 the moon hangs on by a thread,

listening to the echoes of what was said,

stars rained down to cover us in liquid dreams,

as we swam through thoughts of what could be,

but...

light now grips this brand new day,

 and next to me you do not lay,

I wonder where you are,

and I remember that you're somewhere afar,

Laying there thinking about tonight,

Fearing that damn sleep I will have to fight,
