Par-a-dox

Par-a-dox

A Poem by Chris Micha
"

Thought experiment.

"

Par-a-dox

: something (such as a situation)

that is made up of two opposite things and that seems impossible

but is actually true or possible.

~

He said "Why are you always on my mind?"

Her response "Because I need somewhere to sleep."

She said "Why are you always on my mind?"

His response "Because I need a reason to exist."

~

There are two versions of my life.

That exists on two parallels.

Both equally lucid.

Both seemingly impossible.

Because something so amazing,

shouldn't exist.

One version -

You dance in my mind daily.

The other -

You dance on my perceived reality,

through spatial distance.

The Paradox:

Am I thinking you into existence?

or

Are you thinking me into existence?

Hi Christian, I Loved This Poem very Much so. My Favorite Line was,"Both Seeemingly Impossibe because Something So Amazing Shouldn't Exist." When Something is So Wonderful,it Truly does Feel Impossible, I Totally Agree with You! Brilliant Concepts, and Amazing Poem!

Impressive experimental piece!
You've kept me on my toes with this one. :)

reminds me of Emily Dickinson's short poem "Of Paradise' existence"-

Of Paradise' existence
All we know
Is the uncertain certainty --
But its vicinity infer,
By its Bisecting
Messenger --

It takes two (to parallel with reality), no matter the messenger. :)
An intricate write... love it!

This opens up a world of possibilities and interpretations. It has a mind of its own, in a way. Amazing

Thank you so much, Julie. Truly means a lot. :)
It's probably just me, but I like it when you put your quizzical cap on. Probably just because I am not in a romance frame of mind, but I really like the way you express yourself here.

Awe, thank you, Matilda. I am truly honored ma'am. :)
"Thought experiment."
How true. You leave me rereading this over and over, thinking and thinking and thinking.
He said "Why are you always on my mind?"
Her response "Because I need somewhere to think."

She said "Why are you always on my mind?"
His response "Because I need a reason to exist."
Hmm...The first time, I was confused. The 2nd time, these lines made perfect sense. The 3rd time, nothing made sense. The 4th time, I had a stunning revelation. The 5th time, I forgot it.
You see, Christian, this poem truly is a Par-a-dox.

Wow Rim, thank you so much for your words! :)
Schrödinger’s living cat may decide whether another Schrödinger cat may exist or not. Quantum Consciousness has the power of Creation. Consciousness says, “Let there be light!” and light comes forth; “Let there be Eve!” and beautiful Eve comes forth. Modern Science has led us to this strange Twilight Zone way of looking at Reality. Enjoy Eve in the light of day.
