Pink Romance

 

The shedding of cherry blossoms

Falls upon her face

Pink romance slips its breath

Underneath the lure of her skin

They dance amongst her spirit

Embracing her essence

Becoming her

 

Twinkle little stars

In her eyes

Dust her in electric dreams

Draw her into your heart

She is now a part of you too

Now release her back to me

Covered so elegantly

In pink romance

 

Whispered in reverberation

Keeping her in secret

The jewel of the galaxy

Echoing her back down gently

Upon the flutter of dragonfly wings

Carrying her into the night

Sparkling in pink romance

 

She's asleep and waiting for me once again

Where I always find her in my dreams

Waltzing the island I built for her

Covered in cherry blossoms

Lovely images painted in words, and as the trees are in blossom in my neighborhood right now, I could really relate to that side of the poem. The passion comes across strongly as well.

That painting looks like it could have been done by Maxfield Parrish. The American born Pre-Raphaelite painter of the late 19th and early 20th century. The only reason I know that is I went to a Pre-Raphaelite exhibit in Washington DC with someone who went to art school. I paid attention during our walk through the exhibit so I actually learned something. I enjoyed this romantic fairy tale fantasy poem. Good work sir.

Wow, this was really nice! I could almost smell the cherry blossom and the fine spring weather, imagining a pair of lovers under a tree where the guy is reading her a poem which reminded him of her, his beautiful love. It's like a real romantic scene from a movie, one with a very beautiful background and perfect script which just makes the audience go awww :3
