Our Invisible Connection

Our Invisible Connection

A Poem by Chris Micha
"

The connection of unconditional love.

"

Our Invisible Connection

Sometimes I see the most brilliant stars when I close my eyes at night

I often wonder if those are the stars being viewed through your eyes so bright

And I’m in awe

My son who is my everything

Through the day I get glimpses of extraordinary things

Magical angels with protecting eyes and guardian wings

And I’m comforted

My son who is my everything

More often than not I feel myself being pulled in your direction

My mind is filled with the sense of longing for love & affection

And I’m lonely

My son who is my everything

~

But no matter the distance that divides you & I

No matter how many times we hold our heads and cry

We will persevere

My son who is my everything

For our love will always keep us as close as we could ever be

We are always together you & me

Always tethering

My son who is my everything!

You should read him this if he is old enough to understand, it's a really sweet poem that show where your priorities really are. Your boy is lucky that you care so much

Oh yes. The description is sooooo accurate.
I love the repetition "My son who is my everything!"
So sweet and touching is the bond that a father and his son share.

Thank you so much my dear! :)
I like the poem, the words flow and are easy to read. The poem could be about a parent that sees hopes and expectations through the reflecting window image of the spirit of the eyes of a child.

Thank you so much, Jess! I'm honored :)
This lands on my heart in such a soft way. I only have one child and my son is that one thing that centers me. Reminding me constantly that all the static doesn't matter...just that "everything" kind of love...xo Excellent write..xo
