L.A. Sunset

L.A. Sunset

A Poem by Chris Micha
"

She's beyond beautiful...

"
L.A. Sunset

I French kissed the gypsy morning sun
Under sheets of heavy breaths
Rode my lips over peaks of pure pleasure
Down valleys into her depths

Warm-tingling rays touched my vampire-pale skin
As I soared through her undulating skies
A gravitational force attracted my thoughts
Then I heard her energetic cries

Her peak occured at High Noon
I watched with eyes of amazement
And I fell in love with her that day
When she sang her dynamic arrangement

Her body began to grow weary
Trying to keep up with my feverish pace
So she began her magical decent
Down into her hiding place

The day came to a close
And that was the end of her and I
As I watched her set fire to
The horizon of the red-velvet L.A. sky.

Loved these stanza's lines here.

Her body began to grow weary
Trying to keep up with my feverish pace
So she began her magical decent
Down into her hiding place

The day came to a close
And that was the end of her and I
As I watched her set fire to
The horizon of the red-velvet L.A. sky.

This is an extremely dynamic piece! I love it.. Sunsets are a sort of obsession of mine and this one is painted beautifully before the reader. You have a natural way with words that doesn't seem to drag on-it's just enough. This is perfect!

You are very welcome! Anytime:)
I love how sensual this piece. Its like it slowly caresses my skin. I know that makes no sense but that's the best way I can describe it :)

Her peak occured at High Noon
I watched with eyes of amazement
And I fell in love with her that day
When she sang her dynamic arrangement

My favorite part. Great piece!!

Thank you so much, Rose :)
Awesome poem. The thought of a vampire watching the sun and the sunset catching fire instead of the vampire is genius. So enjoyed this one!

A amazing poem. The words alive and strong. I wanted to read more. You make the words create place and good vision. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.

Thank you, Phoenix. Sorry it's taken me this long to respond. I am truly honored my dear friend. :)
Well this is a very romantic sunset and extremely beautiful the way you've painted its picture with jeweled words. I never heard of a sunset being described such as this one. Intriguing.
