Rusted Mechanical HeartA Poem by Chris MichaJust an old sappy stupid love poem.By Deviantart
Rusted Mechanical Heart
A rusted-mechanical heart
Sits in an antique chest
Alone in darkness
It waits
(Patiently)
Its gears worn from abuse
Broken from disrepair
Loves oil spent
It binds
(Painfully)
Its once gleaming-golden interior
Now tarnished insecurities
Awaits the chance
To shine
(Again)
All it requires is affectionate polishing
A little TLC will do just fine
To fire her up again
This time
(For Good)
The key is already in the lock
Slowly open it right back up
Place it in your hands
&
Love it
(Forever)
