Pink Shade of LipstickA Poem by Chris MichaHer headlights revealed her future.
Her mind was made up, she was leaving tonight.
She left his favorite pink shade of lipstick, on the center of his worry worn forehead. She scribbled in hesitation, "I will always love you!", and left it waiting for him, on the nightstand by his bed. She pulled the covers up tight and then left him to his dreams. Love isn't enough to hold her in place. She's a runner in the highest degree. The fog was thick as mud, allowing her to slip into the night. Her eyes were pointed straight ahead, but her mind was looking back. From the rearview mirror, hung her traveling guardian angel. A small framed picture of her bulldog she lost last month, in tears, that he made for her. The car came to a stop. In the mist, everything became silent. She was being tugged in another direction, by a heart anchored 20 miles behind her. The headlights lit her future, in the fog as she drove. The key unlocked the door, releasing the smell of breakfast, cooking on the stove. "Good morning!", rolled off his freshly kissed lips. As she wiped the lipstick from his head. He turned to see a note she left and "Forever!" is what it read. © 2014 Chris MichaFeatured Review

Although, I am by no means any good at it, I still put myself out there. I use to write when I was younger but gav.. more..Writing
