Lost in my mind I find you.

My tears fall shattering on the floor
Like a jar full of pain
I pick up the pieces
Only to be cut by the memories

and I miss you

The aromatics of your scent
Still enchant the unchanged sheets
As the beauty of your face
Haunt the static of my dreams

and I miss you

I always sat at the door
To hear you sing in the shower
The sound of your voice
Painted the bare walls of my soul

and I miss you

I still see your shadow
Dancing in the sun
Sometimes I lose mine
To find it running after you

and I miss you

People say I'm lost
Giving attention through blank stares
But getting lost in my mind
Is getting lost in you.

I really the reiteration of "and i miss you" throughout the poem. It makes me think of when you're thinking about something, and for awhile you can't place the exact emotion, and then it's just there. "and I miss you." Great job!

It's amazing to know how deep someone can get into your head once you really get the chance to know them...you discover things about them and yourself that you've never thought you'd know. They soon become your everything without even realizing. It scares you at first, but then you learn to accept it and really take a chance in continuing the journey...to know them more, to see how they feel about you...what future you two might hold. And yes, once we fall for them, we begin to adore and cherish the little things that make them special, like singing in the shower, the simple sound of their voice or even just the way they look at themselves in the mirror or when they wake up, go to sleep or whatever. We pick and find any little thing to give us a reason to fall for them even more...
