A Poem by Chris Micha
"

I don't know if I'm dreaming or awake.

"
To the edge I crawl
You keep me from the fall
Drifting on waves of electricity
I succomb to your symphony

Deprivation tranforms memories
Washing away sanity
Reality hides behind the blurry haze
Lost in an infinite maze

Shadow demons creep
During the light they see
Drooping dreary bloodshot eyes
The life behind them has died

A miss diagnosed entity
Who dwells inside of me
Death will finally end this
As you lead us to the deep abyss.

I have had insomnia since I was a kid most times Id fall asleep than wake and be up tossing and turning I use to go set outside and write put my time to use but since I no longer live in the country I cant and I miss that

Although I hate not sleeping it has given me some amazing poetry that I'd happily lose a nights sleep for

This was a good poem

I have to agree with you, it has me too.
I can very much relate! Trying to sleep, drifting off, dozing, waking, drowsy, not knowing what's real or imagined. Insomnia is my life right now.

I miss my dreams :)
The transformation of memories, to be on the very edge of sanity and loosing your identity to the music of emptiness. The words speak for themselves with such panache. Be proud of your creation Christian.

I'm honored my friend! Reality takes the form of missing dreams, they come alive. :)

You put it so very elegantly. They come alive.
As an insomnia sufferer, I empathise with this very much. I try and embrace it now and not fight it, but good grief, just for the want of one night's decent sleep, lol. Good work!

Thank you!! So glad you liked it. :)
Insomnia can lead to the dark corners of the abyss or inspire us to become transformed entities. A dark but real good write...:)...............

About
To sum me up is pretty easy. I love writing because it's therapy for my wayward soul. Although, I am by no means any good at it, I still put myself out there. I use to write when I was younger but gav.. more..
