YOUTHA Poem by chrisdad kojo arthurA poem inspiring the youth to stand and build God's house with gifts...
Youth
As vibrant as you are What can your energy boast of? Moving mountains and pulling stars? Why deny your strength of its purpose? You sway your soul away from its focus, Because the world lures you with her flashy cars. Have you read Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verse 0ne? Today you are a man, but tomorrow, as though that strength had ran Would you be content to be the man of the son Or the son of the man? Transient world, yet all heads aloft. Searching and running after that which is soft. Supposed leaders becoming beggars. While the church's foundation is lacking pillars, The pillars(youth) are out building iniquity mansions. Oh youth! Why hast thou forsaken the giver of your gift? Why let His house be devoid of what you posses? You have not been called, I guess, But remember he gave you the gift when you didn't have tongue to ask, So why waiting to be called before performing the task? You didn't work for the gift, so work with the gift. For he who gave you out of volition, Will judge you at his discretion. Never downplay what you can do best For it was given to you at your capability behest What you have is what his house lacks most. So stand up and work for your lord of host. A slave in the house of God is enthroned in heaven For it is the only consulate on earth Don't let your spirit be taken aback by words from that which has breath But rather reunite and work together with your brethren. For factions don't build but demolish, But united forces establish, replenish and refurbish. Gifts are tools to building the spirit of church That church will serve as a fortifying structure some days ahead So youth refrain from keeping gifts under selfish shield Let's put our ammunitions together instead Let us not sit for division to bedevil For the days are evil. It's not too late, we still can rekindle Let us arise and build..... © 2015 chrisdad kojo arthurAuthor's Note
