The Pills

The pills

My problem solvers took away the pain

So I could have hope to make it through the day

No more sleepless nights and pain

My only friend took the pain away

The night I let the pills take over wishing it would make the end of me

For the moment I felt a peace with life

As I let the tears roll down my face as I awaited my final breathe

Don't give up on life as fast as I did. It gets better eventually.

Very strong and meaningful deep piece for sure.
This is suck a strong and powerful subject to write about, it is very tough because so many people go through depression and things like that. These people sometimes turn to pills, or other drugs, or alcohol, to drown there sorrows and take the pain away.
Unfortunately, sometimes they also think of ending there life.
This poem is very real, and vert relatable to some people.
Life these days is no walk in the park that's for sure.
I'm glad you have pulled through that hard time of your life.
I like your encouraging little inspirational note at the end.

This definitely grabbed my attention from the first line. I definitely felt the sadness and despair. Hopefully it wasn't based on reality. Very emotional and expressive.
