Why is it we wish time away? are we missing out on anything if we do?

Wishing Time Away

I am sure we all do it, we wish time away. Whilst at work How often do you look at your watch and count down the hours and minutes until your shift ends?

Worse still, at the start of a working week how many of us wish away the rest of the week?

What about the people who wish time away in order to get closer to a holiday, or a big event like a wedding.

Christmas can be a stressful time of year for many people, how many of them have said something like “I can’t wait for Christmas to be over so we can get back to normal”

Is this a problem, or just human nature?

Perhaps we are missing out on the here and now. Maybe we are setting ourselves up for a future of ‘if only’.

Alternatively, I may just be writing this to relieve the boredom of working.
