cracks

cracks

A Poem by chr66is
"

My first poem in about eight months!!! Inspiration returns.

"

exploding hearts leave bleeding tracks,

and autumn went too soon,

now silver streaks seep into cracks

beneath the winter moon,

her brilliant, diamond-scattered love

that brightened every day,

now mocks me from its perch above,

she took it all away,

so icy tears cut through my face,

while darkness settles in,

there’s nothing left but empty space,

I yearn for spring again.

That was amazing. I think the biggest compliment on ones writing is the effect it had on another. That touched my heart and gave me a lump in my throat.

Brilliantly done! Congratulations on your return. The rhythm and cadence of this work sings a beautiful yet melancholic tune. Well played my friend. Truly a delight to read this morning. Thank you for sharing your immense talent. Keep em coming. Quite stunning.

Siddartha

...and what a fabulous return, indeed. Nice, even flow. Easy enough to relate to, without being too "simple". Congrats on the new inspiration. I, alas, have had writer's block for far too long. Or MAYBE it is just being busy with living life with two growing boys?!?!
