Packmule

Packmule

A Poem by Selah
"

(2014)

"
Face the ground
Don't look up
Carry that load upon your back
Packmule.
Cruel       words
Written in flesh
Skin and bones
Feel the ten-sions.

You did this
It's your fault
Your best is
not
good
enough.

When will you learn?
Do it again.
Foolish child.
Grow
up.

Again and again and again
and
again...

The pools are wide
but the water is shallow.
Stretch yourself thin.
Tired?

No.

One.

Cares.
