Abandoned

Abandoned

A Poem by O'Drama
"

A girl goes to visit her mistress on one cold morning to find that her mistress is dead.

"
One of the several mornings
laden with mist and cold
she walked to the Mistress' manor
a monsterity, dark and old.

She walked over the gravelled path
under the clean heaven
barefooted, 'ver fifteen minutes
towards the Mistress' den

There 'twas, she looked
the mansion of stone
things were amiss today, she felt
the house standing alone.

Silently it stood
reeking of tombstone and death
her naked feet paced on sharpnels
till she reached it, short of breath.

With bleeding feet she reached
to find the Mistress gone,
"Am I abandoned again?" - she wondered
her thoughts audible to none.

Nicely done tale. Has good imagery and eerie type air to it.

This piece was very visual and allowed the reader to more or less understand the events in it. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece.

Thanks for the review :)
Very visual, vivid! You can feel the mist on your face and see the mansion of stone where mistress lived. A nice poem that takes you directly to the depicted scene through minimalist efforts.

About
Hi people, I have loved poetry since past several years, but this is the first time when I'm trying to create it. I love reading the poems of 1800s, because I feel that those poems take me back to .. more..
