Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley

A Poem by Joshua

I'm a young Elvis Presley kissing on Marilyn Monroe
I got lipstick stains as red as a rose
I'm moving my fingertips from her legs to her hips

Passion burns brighter than a supernovas glow
As we make love times ticks slow
I'm a young Elvis Presley, wild and free,
With my Marilyn Monroe next to me
She's got lips red as a rose
My eyes lost in her perfect passion
As I trace my fingertips, a gentle tease,
From her legs to her hips, where passion flees.

Together we dance, entwined in desire,
Setting the stage, our hearts set on fire.
Whispers of love, secrets we share,
In this world of glamour, we're a perfect pair.

In the spotlight's glare, our love's on display,
Two Icons, The world ours to take
I'm a young Elvis Presley, she's my muse,
Marilyn Monroe, lost in love's sweet abuse.

So, let the music play, let the records spin,
Our love story, a legend that'll never forget
I'm a young Elvis Presley kissing on Marilyn Monroe

Passion shared under the neon lights glow
A stolen moment, a taste of bliss.
In the shadows, we escape from the crowd,
While they all scream our names aloud

I'm a young Elvis Presley, singing love's refrain,
With Marilyn Monroe, a glamorous domain.
Her laughter echoes through the starry night,
A symphony of joy, our hearts intertwined

Through the whirlwind of fame, we find solace in each other,
Two souls entwined, always seeking each other
I'm the King of the genre I made, she's my silver screen queen,
Marilyn Monroe Riding next to me

But behind the scenes, we face trials untold,
A world of expectations, secrets to hold.
Yet our love perseveres, unbreakable and true,
In a realm where only the two of us knew.

I'm a young Elvis Presley, burning bright and bold,
With Marilyn Monroe, a story yet untold.
Together we defy the boundaries of time,
In this immortal love, forever we'll chime.

So let the music play, our love's sweet melody,
A legendary romance, for all eternity.
I'm a young Elvis Presley, she's my guiding light,
Marilyn Monroe, love's eternal might.

This tends to reflect societes embrace of the two. Even in death, they still have their fans and always will have a place in history. Well done.

Elvis and Marilyn - two very iconic and well-known stars in their own rights. The juxtaposition of the image of a young Rock 'n Roll hunk and the OG blonde bombshell on the silver screen is uncanny. Especially when you consider their untimely demises. Reading this brings to mind a lot of feelings - some are harder than others to experience. Which, in regards to your writing, makes those feelings all the more intentional. "Passion," as you've mentioned, "burns brighter than a supernovas glow." The explosion of fame, or the sudden onset of never quite feeling like you can be alone, certainly is an idea to consider. The combination of Presley and Monroe certainly stand the test of time, and to use these iconic personas does lead one to wonder where the inspiration came from in your own life. Your words, to me, read like a rock ballad being played over and over again. It's good work, Joshua.
