Can I Ask A Question?

Non sequitors joined at the hip. This sort of story should be 'pun'ished.

“Can I ask a question?” “You just did.” “Can I ask another?” “Taking liberties?” “If I can ask one, why not ask another?” “Should I say, ‘Take my wife,’ and you do, you can’t take another.” “Only one wife; OK. Only one answer, too?” “It’s about one versus another; leave my wife out of it.”

Poetry is harder than prose; for me, its near impossible. All the same, I encourage you to write some more. I'm sure you have some interesting things to say.
