"Place is quiet," Martha observed surveying George's Bar and Grill a hour before it closed for good.
"'Missed our singing contest," George said.
"Anything special?"
"Mostly rowdy newbs missing high notes. Alice won."
"Nice voice, that Alice."
"True. So, whadchya gonna do?"
"There are other bars. Yourself?"
"Whadchya think?"
"Last call?'"
"Last round! On me!" |
