A Girl's World

A Girl's World

A Poem by Kiara Auddino
"

The life we live reflects on the world we're in.

"

A girl’s world is what we’re in,

Not enough room for a heroine.

Bitching, secrets, backstabbing, the lot.

Hurting more than being shot.

A thick skin to save yourself.

Hiding your thoughts high on the shelf.

Words of hate and so much more.

No real friendships in this war.

“I love your hair”, is what they say.

A caring friend is what they portray.

But behind their mask lies the truth.

You better hope you’re bulletproof.

Even as you get older, it doesn’t stop.

A hidden b***h to stay on top!

Favorite line "hiding your thoughts high on the shelf"
A worthwhile read. Very relatable but not at all overdone.

Thanks for sharing :)

A poem with deeper bitter feelings. A very sceptical view of people.
Good flow and rhyming.
Well done.
