Rain

Rain

A Poem by Geof
"

"Rain is dripping down my cheeks, They're satin-smooth, silken-sleek."

"

Rain is dripping down my cheeks,

They’re satin-smooth, silken-sleek.

Each one trails down my pallid skin,

Leaving a vein of water so thin.

They sting my eyes and leave me blind,

But I don’t care; with each drop I unwind.

I looked up at the grey sky in question,

But the skies were not the drear I had reckoned.

The sky was a canvas of blue with clouds of white.

The sun was down, and very soon would come night.

I looked back down at the pavement with a sigh.

These raindrops, they’re falling from my eyes.

About
I'm Geof. No, not really. I'm female, and I have a decidedly different name, but I love the name Geof, and I think it fits me better than my real name does. What does that say about me, I wonder?... .. more..
