Valentine's Rain

Valentine's Rain

A Poem by Tshogyal Moktan

Its wintery night as usual,
as its the dry season here....
But she's summoned the rain,
of which i was unaware....
Ah! is this the valentine's gift,
i am receiving?
even though my darling's miles away...
Oh! yes it is, we're under the same sky,
I is satisfied......

The light shower's turned dense,
within a moment of time.....
With the chill, with the rhyme,
the rain's began to fall....
mystical rhythm she puts on the ground,
extraordinary notes she plays in my heart.....
she dances inside,
refreshing me ten thousands times better,
as i was before.....

The recently bloomed flowers,
in the dry sand,
got an opportunity to stretch her young petals,
who's now standing in moistened mud.....
takes me to the monsoons,
when i take a deep breathe,
i smell monsoons in her damp mud.....
along with the dogs barking somewhere.....
and the prayer flags making a vibration,
along with the wind that's begun to flow....

Touched by so many things that's around,
in this clear, chilling, rained night....
"Mother nature, i owe a lot to you"
even this Valentine's gift that you've gifted,
from her side....
I owe a lot.....even my Darling,
as she's the most beautiful creation of yours.....
