A Poem by chocolate_addict
"

I clung to our misery, Our righteous denial.

"

I was addicted to your malice,

Your heart shaped intent.

I was moved by your words,

Your poison tongue.

I clung to our misery,

Our righteous denial.

I closed up our sky,

Our sodden regret.

You were addicted to my innocence,

My lonely advice.

You were moved by my mind,

My quiet speech.

You clung to our desire,

Our staged lust.

You closed up the windows,

Our broken faces.

It’s over,

I know.

I really like this. It shows more than one person's faults in a relationship, and the ending implies - things must have ended and now they have. And I have accepted it.
