Lets Be Free In a Cage

its a little poem i had to do for school

I believe we are caged,

We are birds that believe they are free.

But are in fact trapped,

like animals.

 

In a cage not only guarded by others,

 But by ourselves.

 

We are bound to know,

Only what is given through letters.

And we try to make deceit our friend.

 

We are watched and judged,

We try to achieve our goal.

Being machines without souls…

 

I believe we want freedom,

To fight through the cage of lying diamonds.

The mask of what we believe is happiness.

 

To not be afraid,

Let the soul become the human.

And the machine become itself.

 

A chance to love, experience

To let our spirit address another,

To not watch or judge.

 

But,

to have fun as we are.
