A Poem by chuck

He came down the mountain, over the rocks and through the tall grasses.
Past the evergreens and towering pines, leaving the cotton filled clouds behind.

Watches the eagles soar on gentle zephyrs of summer winds.
He arrives at a weather beaten cabin near valley floor.

Now alone with all his thoughts and questions. Hops into his old four wheel drive,
heads out on the dusty mountain trail. Downshifts as He crosses a shallow trickle of a stream.

Parks for a moment to listen to the sounds of coyotes howling.
A pair of dragonflies mating in mind air, wildflowers dotted along the path.

Something much greater then what He sees is happening here.
The glare of the sun off the hood of the truck blinding Him.

He searches for answers to all the questions that exist, then God
hops back into his 4x4 and returns to his place on the top of the mountain.
