Footprints on the Moon...

Footprints on the Moon...

A Poem by chuck

Dreams, they're written in the stars and captured by the moon
I want to follow all my dreams, see sunrise in the afternoon

Walk across the ocean, float among the clouds
See the Beatles live on stage, blend into the crowds

Share a campfire with John Denver, talk poems, prayers, and promises.
Listen to Abraham Lincoln speak, learn about what honest is.

I'd like to meet Confucius, and ride with Genghis Khan
Or party with Mick Jagger, take the trip that he is on

Fly straight up to the Heavens, swim the deepest seas
Soar among the mountains like an eagle on a breeze

I'd like to talk to Jesus, ask Him to save my soul
Sing like Elvis Presley did creating rock and roll

I'd like to catch a falling star
wake up every day at noon
Anything is possible when
there are footprints on the moon

Very good rhyming here, but unless you've mastered time travel, your bucket list is going to be somewhat difficult. Except the sleeping until noon part. You can do that if you don't have a steady job.

Very cool, very creative and very fun to read. I think I like everything about this poem. After all of the musical references within, the song by The Police, "Walking on the moon", is now playing in my head. Nicely done Chuck
