To be as she

To be as she

A Poem by QuillandInkWhispers
"

I found the picture that is attached to this poem online and it got my attention. I wanted to write a poem describing it. I wrote this back in 2008.

"
It is a night of sorrow, a song of death,
wolves vent their pain. The beautiful one
awakes.

Night shrouds her pale form,
a timeless desire.

Her raven hair cascades over
pale and delicate shoulders, and her
full blood-red lips part slightly, to taste the
red tears streaming from the
pale flesh beneath
her.

Now a night of darkness,
I remember her.

Fantastic display of imagery here. The ambivalence here is extraordinary and you displayed it in so few words. It isn't easy to do in such a short amount of space, but you have left the reader wanting more, and given the subject you have done well to leave the reader hanging....

Enjoyed it very much!
