The pain I feel runs 

deep through my veins 

I'm afraid to cry

 because I fear 

I could 

loose my pride 

Tell me how 

could I smile 

if anger fills

my entire insides

 And why should

I care

if lies 

are all I hear

I relate to this in so many way. Very good questions. I think we all ask them at some point, but I like how you put them into a poem. It's short and simple but has a powerful fill of emotions. It gets to the point, which I like very much. Great write :)

I can totally relate to this... you keep a straight face even though you are black inside... people tell you to smile and all you can do is twitch... you try to care, but nothing matters anymore... beautiful darkness envelopes every word in this simple yet powerful poem, etched in my mind.

. very poignant ... and if that's a genuine question ... then you should cry your heart out at least once ... i am a crier ... (not cranky mind you) ... i cry a lot ... i don't think it's a big deal to cry ... the constructive or artistic thing that you do after you wipe your tears ... is the more significant thing ... it is likely that you will write an even more beautiful poem ... plus ... feel better ... try and channelize the sadness into something creative ... works like magic and heals ...
