Seasons come and seasons go

Seasons come and seasons go

A Poem by J. L. Childers

Seasons come and seasons go
The cycle spins in control
Winter then Spring
Summer then Fall
Solstice to Equinox

The world keeps moving
In and out
Time seems to speed up
and then slow down

Nothing is constant
Nothing stays the same
Then why I am morning
For what was lost
When I should celebrate what is to gain

The snow falls
Then melts again
The flowers will bloom
And bees to visit soon

Babies are born
Then grow old and die
The lifes speed on and multiply
For the life of one time doesn't mind
To see it crumble in the blink of an eye

Nothing is constant
Nothing stays the same
Then why I am morning
For what was lost
When I should celebrate what is to gain

Looking forward, never to repeat
It is hard to look back
It is hard to ponder what could be
Now never to become

Looking forward to the new
Wondering what I should and shouldn't do
Pondering and worrying
Cautious and guarded
Dreading the suffering
Not wanting to be isolated

Needing someone
to love
to trust
to hold
to care for

Needing someone
to love me
to trust me
to hold me
to care for me
