The single most important piece of paper that will determine your entire future is your college application essay. This is the paper that gives you the chance to prove your worth to the admissions officer by indicating all your achievements and writing about how you will be a better option for their graduate/undergraduate program instead of millions of other students who apply.

If you are about to send in applications to colleges and universities, then you should know how stressful and tiring this process can be. To make the process a bit easy for you and to enable you to write an impeccable and impressive essay, here is a list of some essential points composed by experts which are to be kept in mind.

Try to be individual and honest:

Copying a story from the internet, buying the essay from a website that answers to your queries, such as- Write my custom paper for me, etc., the admissions officers have seen it all! The best way to go about this task is to try to write it yourself!

You do not have to write an elaborate life story about fake struggles to blackmail the admissions department into giving you an admission, all you have to do is to be individual i.e. write your own story honestly.

Try to be smart and witty:

As this is the space where you can impress the admissions officer, try to sound smart and witty. Of course do not add humor as  what you find humorous might not sound funny to others, but add witty remarks in your statement just to break the monotonous pace of writing and reading in case of the admissions officer.

Be concise and coherent:

Do not babble and try to cover everything in this one piece. Doing so, you will only sound scatterbrained and superficial. So try to compose a coherent paper with all the necessary facts and information woven together beautifully.

Moreover, the admissions officer has a huge stack of such essays to go through and your vague essay with too much unnecessary information will only end up annoying him/her.

Write a draft and then rewrite it!

Once you have composed your first draft, then read it and rewrite it again. A perfectly written essay with no mistake also impresses the admissions officer as it shows the candidate has taken great pains to write it and is seriously interested in the college. So check at least twice for errors and mistakes.
