Lounge Lizards

Lounge Lizards

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

Insanity

"

Lounge Lizards

Leaping lizards

Lounge in the sun

Basking in the glory

Of the day’s bright

Orange glow

Contemplating low on

Food, procreation,

And the fine art of living

With their mouths

Open wide and eyes shut

The earth turned

As their human

Friends sinned

Wondering how much Money they’ll win

As they take a spin

At the roulette table

After an afternoon quickie

As the hours tick by

Sometimes we need to be Picky!

A care giver sometimes comes to be critical of her beneficiary. Its in the wrist. Nice write!

more over; I enjoy the way you capture rolling thought, and originality in style.
