Pinata
A Poem by Marie Harrison
a stuffed poem of angst
piñata
how I wish you were
a statue of david
piñata that I could
strike over and over
with a baseball bat
i’d watch you sway
back and forth
and all around
with your pink guts
of bubble-gum
pieces hanging out
what a productive
way to spend
my day
beating the crap
out of you
