Paper Thin Friendship

Computer compadres

Amigos sharing our angst

Exchanging our life stories and dreams

Overtime developing

A meaningful friendship

-        -   -

Had to leave for a few months

To attend to important life responsibilities

Creating life shifting changes in my life

Came back to write and

Share in this friendship again

-  -  -

Found myself

Mysteriously blocked

Paper thin friendship

One that blows with the wind

Wow the hurt of this "paper thin friendship" is evident to me in this poem. How hurtful it would be to leave to attend to some problems in your life and come back to find that someone who is supposed to be a friend to you completely shut you out of their life. A friendship that is so easily broken is one not worth having anyway.
