Leafy Green Spinach Love

Leafy Green Spinach Love

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

A dark green love poem

Leafy Green Spinach Love

You are my tender bunch of spinach, my love

Nightly you energize my soul, we fit like a glove

You nourish my body, little dove

Oh how you entice

Just the thought of

Snacking on you in a bowl is nice

With almonds, orange slices

Raspberry dressing and pepper spices

You make me virile and strong

When you sing me country love songs

Calling you spinach maybe wrong

But you make me beat my chest like King Kong

You're my leafy green spinach love!

You have won "The Leaf of Love" award in the "I Can Write About Anything" contest. I wanted to kiss spinach, after reading your poem. I felt like "King Kong," after reading your words. I have never read such a loving poem for a green in my life. I could feel your love for the vegetable.

The bad news is, I am starting the "I Can Write About Anything II" contest, today.
I hope you will answer the challenge!
