My Grief

My Grief

A Poem by Marie Harrison
"

mourning poem

"

My Grief

My companionship

Is unbearable

As I grieve

Forgive me

For there’s no relief

Nothing comforts

Or consoles my anxious soul

Everything’s a thorn in my side

My darkness I cannot hide

No quench for this mighty thirst

 Magic pills cannot subside

This sea of pain

That resides in my heart

I’m a slave of mourning

A raging storm of anger

And regrets

Time has been my thief

Robbing me of my dearest love

Throw me in

My pit of doom

Bury me deep

Within my tomb

Just thinking about what a bitch it is to grieve.
How it just pours out of your soul like an ocean.

Your anguish and pain pours out in this eloquent piece. Grieving although absolutely horrible is a necessary part of healing. It sure is a b***h though

"I’m a slave of mourning
A raging storm of anger
And regrets"

Very passionate phrase

This describes grieving perfectly. A very sad place to be in but hopefully the grieving will soon end. Fantastic job!
